Nepal Roars Ahead: ICC World Cup Qualifier!

Nepal roars ahead atthe ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023, bu defeating the United States by six wickets on Tuesday in Harare, Zimbabwe.

While losing four wickets, Nepal successfully takes on the 208-run mark in the 43rd over. Bhim Sharki scores a patient half-century to lead Nepal to a comfortable victory. Sharki hits seven boundaries and one six in his unbeaten 77 off 114 balls.

Dipendra Singh Airee is also unbeaten, scoring 39 runs off 32 balls, including five boundaries and one six. Airee wins the match with a boundary in the 43rd over, as Nepal ties the score in the 42.3rd over. Sharki and Airee’s undefeated 74-run partnership for the 5th wicket was important in Nepal’s victory.

Kushal Bhurtel, the opener, adds 39 runs off 54 balls, including four boundaries and one six. Nepal’s double-digit scorers are Aasif Sheikh (12), Captain Rohit Paudel (16), and Kushal Malla (13).
The bowlers from the United States, including Saurabh Netravalkar, Nosthush Kenjige, Nisarg Patel, and Steven Taylor, each take one wicket.

With two points earned, Nepal moves up to third place in Group A. Zimbabwe Takes the Lead in Group A with Four Points, followed closely by the Netherlands, who scored 315 runs for six wickets in 50 overs. In the second place, the West Indies boast a higher run rate than Nepal, who are eager to climb the standings. However, Nepal’s dominant bowling attack, spearheaded by pacer Karan KC, dismantled the USA’s batting order, limiting them to a meager total of 207 runs after losing all their wickets in 49 overs.

KC emerges as the tormentor-in-chief, taking four wickets while giving only 33 runs in nine overs, three of which were maidens. His superb bowling has the USA reeling at 18/4. Shayan Jahangir scores a magnificent maiden ODI century in the middle order to provide some resistance. Jahangir is still unbeaten on 100 from 79 balls, having hit 10 boundaries and three sixes.
