Mindhunter is a crime drama and psychological thriller. Since the first episode of “Mindhunter,” the compelling criminal thriller series, has drawn viewers like us from all around the world. The Netflix original series is created by Joe Penhall and based on the true crime book “Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit” by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker. It transports us to the late 1970s, a time when criminal psychology was in its early life and the term “serial killer” started to be known. The show focuses on FBI agents Holden Ford played by Jonathan Groff and Bill Tench played by Holt McCallany, who interview some of the most famous murderers in America to investigate the psychology behind the murder. Inspired by real-life cases and the revolutionary work of the FBI‘s Behavioral Science Unit, “Mindhunter” brings to life the origins of modern-day criminal profiling.
