History of Akshaya Tritiya

According to Hindu mythology, Lord Krishna gave Draupadi the Akshaya Patra, providing the Pandavas with unlimited food during their exile. Akshaya Tritiya also marks the birthday of Parasurama, the sixth avatar of Lord Vishnu, and the start of Sage Vyasa’s narration of the Mahabharata to Lord Ganesha. Akshaya Tritiya holds immense spiritual significance, marked by special pujas, charity, and worship of family deities. It falls on the Tritiya Tithi of Sukla Paksha in Baisakh, symbolizing purity and spiritual awakening.

On this day, people do many traditional things and rituals. One usual thing is giving food, clothes, or other things to people who need help. People believe that doing good things on this day brings lots of good luck. We also buy gold and silver on this day. Also, starting new things like businesses or marriages on Akshaya Tritiya is thought to bring success and wealth.
